This project was thoughtfully designed considering the religious values of temple architecture while attempting to utilize sustainable measures. Considering socioeconomic, cultural, and environmental factors led to this unique project being a success. The temple is an ardent attempt to create a holistic design that caters to the community and becomes a space of religious and cultural significance.

Keeping the site vegetation intact, the temple reflects the principles of biomimicry. The form takes its inspiration from the ant hill and the interior of the 'shikhara' resembles the snakeskin which adds value to the temple where the snake god is worshipped. The main challenge was to create a small temple on rather large premises adhering to the community's requirements.

The plan is a superimposition of octagons that converge in a small opening which brings in natural light into the Garbhagriha. A Belgium glass sphere is placed on the top of the shikhara that collects scattered natural light and brings in a single ray that reaches the idol The ventilation is carried out through small windows that depict the types of snakes found in nature. The shikhara of the templeis a sculpture of the snake god- nearly of human height With the study of temples aroundthe area details such as jharokhas, gomukhs, and windows were skillfully designed. The temple is built in locally available black basalt stone available within 5 km of the site. It is built in the Hemadpathi Style of temples native to the region of Maharashtra. The traditional proportions mentioned in shashtras have been followed creating a visually and spatially rich space.

The commencement of the project witnessed people from the community actively participating in the process. The people of the society contributed through ‘shramdaan’ where people devoted physical labour as an offering to the temple and worked towards a common goal.
