Project Details

  The Paritkar brothers approached the studio with a brief of a design of a house that seamlessly blends the modern and the traditional. The challenge was to merge the two varied architectural styles so that the two styles look unified.The main body of the house is divided into two parts modern and traditional and is fused centrally forming a courtyard with living space linking every function together the ground floor consists of bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a courtyard whereas the upper floor consists of 2 bedrooms and a terrace with a glass roof for the courtyard maintaining the transparency and vision from the upper floor to the lower floor. This open space presents freedom to move, play, gather, and celebrate. Homes that have stood the test of time for multiple generations in a village are the ones that follow architecturally sensitive values in some fundamental ways.
